Raccoons Cause Real Concern in Oakland County, Michigan

Raccoon Problems are common in Oakland County, Michigan

When I returned home from a three month absence I found mounds of what I am told is raccoon feces, called raccoon latrines. I had my exterminator set a trap but my concern is who to call to remove the feces. I have searched my Yellow Pages and can\'t find any service that mentions this. My husband has a compromised immune system and I don\'t want him to do it. I would rather stab myself in the eye (just kidding) than do it myself. The Department of Health recommends wearing gloves and using disposable bags and putting it in the regular trash. Reading online suggestions they recommend wearing a special mask and burning the area where the latrines are. I am confused and frustrated. Barbara J.

I have a raccoon infestation in my house as well as in my adjacent neighbor\'s houses. I want to know more information on raccoon removal services, such as cost, time etc. Mandi L.

I saw a raccoon on my roof have been hearing noises in my chimney....assumed it was birds. Guess I was wrong! Alex M

My tenants have been hearing scratching in the attic and in the crawlspace below the house during both the day and nighttime for several weeks now.  They saw a raccoon in the yard a few days ago and think it\'s the intruder and that there may be more.  They need to be evicted before I lose my renters!

-Tania K.

I can hear something in my attic.  It sounds big, there\'s lots of creaking from the house and the occasional his from an animal.  I think it\'s a raccoon and possibly her babies.  I wouldn\'t want my kids in the attic let alone these things!

-Cami O.

Questions about Swallows

We have a large amount of swallows living on property in the eaves of our buildings. They have been there every year since the property was built. We have scheduled an exterior complete repaint of our apartment buildings. I do not want the birds to be harmed or disturbed. Can they be relocated? What are my options?

Swallows are federally protected because they are migratory birds, meaning once their nests are completed and contain eggs or baby birds, they cannot be moved or harmed.  The trick to managing swallows is starting deterrent methods as soon as they begin building nesting on a building.  As professional wildlife removers, we understand the laws and have developed safe ways to keep the birds from nesting on unwanted areas.  The best thing to do is to bring in someone that understands these things and can carefully modify the bird’s migration route to not include your home; if you don’t, they will come back year after year.

Wild animals on your property can damage vegetation and structures and reduce property value. In your walls, in your attic, or on your roof wild animals can keep you up at night and their urine and droppings create a horrific smell. After my technicians and I perform wild animal removal, we can provide cleanup, sanitization, and deodorization to help restore your property; we can also provide exclusion services to keep your wildlife problem from recurring. We resolve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Oakland County and surrounding areas. Give me a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

The situations we resolve and main trapping and removal services we provide are: raccoon families in attics and chimneys, woodpeckers drilling siding. mud swallow nests on stucco, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, voles and gophers destroying lawns, skunks stealing pet food, bat infestations, and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their commotion and smell. Raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that I and my professional wildlife removal operators are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. The pigeons on my roof are ruining my HVAC system.  They’re pooping everywhere and making lots of noise.  Every time I look outside it seems like there are more than there were before.  I can’t let my cat outside or she comes back in with a dead pigeon in her mouth.  Can’t live with them anymore, help?
